Extradited from Britain, the Albanian Florian Rama is left in prison in Spain;

Tensions and debates have accompanied the court session in O Porriño, Spain, after the appointment of the security measure for the 30-year-old Albanian Florian Rama, accused of killing the young Moroccan Soufian Mhara, 24, in 2019.

Rama was arrested in the United Kingdom and extradited to Spain where he will face the charges against him.

The head of the Investigative Court 1 of Porriño confirmed the entry of the 30-year-old Albanian into prison, initially investigated for the criminal offense of murder.

The suspect, who arrived around 13:00 in a police van, exercised his right not to testify.

At the doors, family members and friends of the victim burst out with calls of "killer", causing moments of tension and tremendous pain.

Soufian's relatives demanded "justice" as they did immediately after the crime.

The young man's sister, Siham, wanted to thank the work of the investigators and especially "Manuel Corral and Irene who have been in direct contact with us all this time and who have had the gesture to accompany us in this long and difficult wait" . Now, he explained, what his family is looking for is "justice", stressing that it has been more than four very difficult years. She assured that "we have been aware of all the steps being taken in the investigation" and hinted that the arrested person "was very smart, fleeing to that place to escape justice". Siham said that "from what I have read in the press that he is an individual with extensive criminal records behind him, for drug trafficking".

Soufian received three stab wounds, one fatal, after an argument inside a bar. The perpetrator left the scene without leaving a trace. The Civil Guard began an investigation focused on the images and videos of that night. The suspect was mistakenly identified with another person, who, after being arrested and imprisoned, was released when it was proven that he was not at the scene when the attack took place. From there, dozens of images were collected, leading to what could be the final one, which was distributed to the media to solicit the cooperation of citizens.

The work of the Civil Guard allowed the identification of the suspect, an Albanian citizen, who at the time was in Vigo and had traveled to Salceda, with a search warrant from a court in Cambados for drug trafficking and who began a journey until arriving in the Kingdom United States, where he could be arrested.

Soufian's sister also asked for the investigation to continue. His family believes there may be another person behind the crime. "From the beginning, we heard rumors that there could be another perpetrator, that the arrested person is only the material perpetrator", explained Siham.

Her suspicions are based on the fact that “it was a studied and brutal attack, with three stab wounds in strategic places over a minor dispute. "It doesn't make sense that reaction after spilling just one drink and that he convinced my brother to go with him and then killed him," she adds. Thus, she emphasized that according to her there was cruelty, "she was stabbed in vital areas and a stab wound was fatal". Furthermore, she insisted that neither the friends, nor the family nor the victim herself knew anything about the arrestee, who reacted disproportionately. "He was carrying a knife" and used it in a minor incident.
