Caught with 100 kilograms of drugs in the car, the Albanian before the Greek

A 41-year-old Albanian from Konispoli, together with two Greek police officers, have appeared before the Court of Thesprotia, after they were arrested last Friday during an anti-drug operation in Igoumenica where 102 kg of marijuana were seized.

In yesterday's session, 41-year-old Albanian Arben Murto said that he thought he was participating in an official police operation. He affirmed that he had cooperation from the past with the citizen Konstantino Nako, one of the arrested. In this context, as he claimed, he believed even last Friday that he was participating in a legal police operation to locate and seize the quantity of drugs.

Police officer Konstantino Nakos has claimed before the Court that he is a cocaine user and that this addiction has led him to the special transport of a large amount of marijuana. Based on the same information, he requested expertise to prove the cocaine use he claims.

While the officer Dimitrio Oikonomou claimed that he knew nothing about the actions of his colleague.

At the end of the session, the Court has set the security measure "Arrest in prison" for Arben Murto and Konstantino Nako and the security measure "obligation to appear twice a month", "property guarantee" 8000 euros and "exit ban ” for Dinitrio Oikonomou.
