The police have given details of the accident that happened this afternoon in Durrës, where a vehicle hit a traffic officer.
The incident took place near the 'Museum' area in Durrës, leaving the traffic policeman injured.
According to the sources, the car driven by Renaldo Avdiu collided with policeman Gentjan Hoxhalli, who was on duty. The injured policeman's legs were broken and he was taken to the hospital.
"Around 7:45 p.m., in district No. 9 Durrës, the vehicle driven by citizen R. A. was involved in an accident with the pedestrian, citizen G. H, (police officer) who is in the hospital, under the care of doctors.
The driver of the vehicle, citizen R. A, was accompanied to the Durrës Police Station for further action.
The investigative group is at the scene and is working to clarify the circumstances of the accident ," the police announced.
