An operation by the RENEA and Operacional forces, with the support of the Vlora Police, concluded with the arrest of Flodian Plaku, also known by the nickname "Pole Qorri". He is considered one of the hired killers, against whom the Tirana Court had imposed the security measure of 'prison arrest' since August 2024, as a suspect in the murder of Gentian Bejtja, a crime committed in the village of Larushk, in March of last year.
The old man, also known by the surnames Serjani and Mamo, was arrested at a hotel in the Orikum area, along with another person, and two pistols were also found on him.
Plaku was said to have been hiding or sheltering in Dubai, where many Albanian crime figures have been for years. He was a well-known name not only in Albanian justice, but also in Italian law.
Under the identity Flodian Serjani, he was arrested in 2019 in Vlora as the head of a criminal drug trafficking organization that transported cannabis to Brindisi and distributed it through couriers from Puglia to Rome, Naples, Milan and Florence.

According to Italian media, he is a drug trafficker with very strong connections in Tuscany and who often traveled from Brindisi to his province in Albania to secure the shipment.
His group was strongly linked to Puglia organized crime groups, particularly with Salverio Palma who has been arrested in Italy.
Italian media wrote that according to investigations, this group had a hand in two shipments of significant quantities of cannabis seized in 2018.
"On January 12, 2018, in Magliano Sabina (RI), along the A/1 motorway in the north, the Carabinieri arrested an Albanian courier bound for Tuscany, transporting 70 kg of marijuana.
On February 15, 2018, in the eastern suburbs of Rome, the Carabinieri arrested an Italian courier with 178 kg of marijuana and two Albanians who were supposed to receive the amount of drugs, while 188 kg of narcotics, electronic scales and packaging materials were also found in their home," Italian media reported.
