Spanish police have arrested two Albanian nationals in Cadiz after they were caught in possession of a ton of cannabis. It is learned that the two Albanians were carrying automatic rifles known as Kalashnikovs (AK-47s) and were in a house in the Pelayo area, in Algeciras.
According to Spanish police, the drugs had arrived in Cadiz via the beaches in Algeciras and Tarifa, where drug ships carrying the cannabis cargo held by the arrested Albanians had also arrived.

The police action is the result of a preliminary investigation that made it possible to find a property used by criminal organizations as a "nursery", a term used in police jargon to refer to places intended to hide and store large quantities of drugs.
The police also announced that two individuals of Albanian origin, responsible for guarding the warehouses, had three loaded Kalashnikov rifles, in perfect working order and with immediate capacity to open fire.
The two Albanians were brought before the Algeciras Duty Court on the morning of January 9, where their imprisonment was ordered.
