Two Albanian drug traffickers aged 28 and 46 were arrested by the Italian police two days ago and over one and a half kilos of cocaine were seized.
It all started in Castel Maggiore, where soldiers of the Bologna Unit noticed a young man driving a car suspiciously around town. The carabinieri began to follow the vehicle and as soon as they arrived in Cento (Ferrara), the officers blocked the car and started the physical control.
During the escape attempt, the person in the car tried to give a suspicious package to the driver of a truck. The 28-year-old Albanian driver of the car, unemployed, resident in Preganziol (Treviso), did not resist. But the driver of the truck that had the package behaved differently, who got angry, attacking the carabinieri to avoid control.
1 kg of cocaine was found inside the package. The search continued in the homes and vehicles of the two suspects, as far as Treviso. Inside the garage used by the 46-year-old was found another narcotic substance, again cocaine, with a total weight of 361 grams, some materials suitable for weighing and packaging the substance and 2500 euros in cash, writes "Il Resto del Carlino".
On board the car used by the 28-year-old, more 'heads' with a total weight of 121 grams and 20,000 euros in cash, which are suspected to come from the sale of the package, were found. The two Albanians were locked up in Ferrara Prison, pending investigations.
