He was taken hostage in France in exchange for the payment of 24 thousand pounds, the 25-year-old from Kukësi is released

The 25-year-old man from Kuks, who was taken hostage in France in exchange for 24,000 pounds, was released on Wednesday evening (September 11). 

Sources from people who know about the event informed the media that he contacted his brother in Kukës, while the Albanian authorities are waiting for official communication with Interpol Lyon in France, to confirm his release. 

For this case, the Police of Kukës arrested 2 people a day ago, who allegedly helped him to leave Kukës illegally, first at the border of Kosovo and then at the border of Belgium, to arrive in France as a transit and final destination Great Britain.

Because of the payment that is made in these cases, the young man was taken hostage in exchange for the payment of 24 thousand pounds as an obligation, the family was informed. The latter made a public complaint yesterday (September 11) to the Kukës Police, which carried out the investigative actions and the arrests.

Investigations are still active and a complete clarification of the event and the persons involved is expected.
