Indrit Shaqja was urgently transported to the Trauma hospital with strict security measures, after he was wounded today by gunfire in Peqin prison.
Initially, Shaqja was transported to the hospital in Peqin, but due to the need for more specialized treatment after the injuries to his legs and his deteriorating condition, he was sent to the hospital in Tirana.
The author of the incident, Sokol Mjacaj, shot two prisoners, Arben Lleshi and Ilir Shaqaj.
Arben Lleshi was killed by the armed conflict as he could not survive his injuries.
It is learned that convict Sokol Mjacaj had a conflict with two other convicts Indrit Shaqjan and Arben Lleshin and tried to kill them. It is suspected that Mjacaj was ordered from abroad to kill two prisoners.
