The Tirana police arrested 42-year-old Arjan Ballcaj after he tried to get 200,000 euros from a businessman by posing as a senior official.
The coded police operation "Replay 2" is completed.
The operation was carried out by the Section for the Investigation of Economic and Financial Crimes, in cooperation with the Special Force of Special Operations and Search and Police Station No. 6, in the direction of the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction of Tirana.
1 vehicle and 1 mobile phone are seized.
Specialists of the Section for the Investigation of Economic and Financial Crimes, in cooperation with the Special Force of Special Operations and Research and Police Station No. 6, following the work to combat criminal activity in the field of economic crimes, under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction of Tirana, organized and finalized the coded police operation "Replay 2", for the identification, capture and the arrest of a citizen who attempted to defraud a businessman in order to obtain a large sum of money.
As a result of this operation, the citizen Arjan Ballcaj, 42 years old, resident of Kamez, was arrested.
This citizen tried to deceive a citizen (businessman) in order to benefit from the amount of 200,000 euros, presenting himself as a senior official.
As material evidence, 1 vehicle and 1 mobile phone were seized.
Work is being done to identify and capture other persons involved in this criminal activity.
The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction in Tirana, for further actions, the police announced.
