Two people have been arrested by Durrës police after engaging in prostitution and then threatening clients with a knife to extort money.
Another person has been arrested after a search found a quantity of cocaine divided into doses ready for sale. He is suspected of taking photos of customers and blackmailing them into giving him money.
The arrested have been identified as Robert Lamnica, Armand Hysa and Alma H. The cutting tool was seized from the 49-year-old's apartment.
"The specialists of the Section for the Investigation of Crimes against Life and Property, in cooperation with the Durrës Police Commissariat and with the support of the operational forces of the Durrës DVP, successfully finalized the police operation codenamed "Last Threat". As part of the operation, citizens RL, 40 years old, resident in Shënavlash, Durrës, AH, 49 years old, resident in Spitallë, Durrës and AH, 21 years old, resident in Durrës were arrested. The investigations conducted revealed that citizen AH offered sexual favors, in return for payment, to citizen F. Ç., in her apartment. Then, in cooperation with citizen RL, they threatened citizen F. Ç. with a cutting tool (knife), and took 65,000 new lek from him.
The investigation revealed that citizen AH was engaged in prostitution and then citizen RL took intimate photos of clients, as well as threatened them to pay large sums of money, in order not to publish the photos. The operation began a week ago. During it, citizen AH was initially handcuffed and yesterday, citizen RL was handcuffed.
Also during the operation, the arrest in flagrante delicto of citizen AH, 21 years old, was made, since at the moment of the arrest of citizen RL, this citizen was with him and during the search, the Police found a quantity of the narcotic substance cocaine divided into doses ready for sale. In cooperation with the Prosecutor's Office, work continues to identify other citizens who have been threatened by these citizens, as well as to uncover and legally document the criminal activity carried out by these citizens.
The procedural materials were referred to the Prosecution Office, for further action, for citizens RL and AH, for the criminal offenses "Coercion by threat or violence for the provision of property", committed in collaboration, and "Prostitution", as well as for the 21-year-old, for the criminal offense "Production and sale of narcotics", the police announced.
