Four people have been arrested by the Durrës police after allegedly stealing 3 cars, which have already been seized.
They were caught red-handed stealing 3 vehicles, after posing as parking attendants.
As part of operation 'Three', it was possible to capture and arrest: Edison Gjyriqi, 22 years old, resident of neighborhood no. 13, Durrës, Romeo Hima, 24 years old, Paolo Muho 25 years old, after in a parking lot in neighborhood no. 1, Durrës.
These citizens, presenting themselves as parking employees, are suspected of having stolen a person's vehicle and left.
Afrim Agasi, a 53-year-old resident of Ishem, Durrës, allegedly in neighborhood no. 15, Durrës, stole the "Benz" type vehicle. The latter results in a previous criminal record in the theft of tools. In 2022, he was arrested for stealing a truck in Tirana.
"The timely and professional response of the Police services made it possible to unravel the theft of three vehicles the day before, in Durrës. It is being finalized by the Durrës Police Station and the Beach Police Station, operation coded "Three". They are caught and put 4 citizens were arrested as suspected perpetrators of the theft of 3 vehicles.
The 3 stolen vehicles are seized.
Following the work and successive strikes for the prevention and investigation of thefts, the services of the Durrës Police Station and Plazh Police Station, after reporting by three citizens that the vehicles they were using were stolen, immediately organized the coded operation "Three ". Within this operation, within a short time, it has become possible to locate the locations of three stolen vehicles, which were seized as material evidence.
Following the operation, it became possible to catch and arrest the citizens in the act:
- AG, 53 years old, resident of Ishem, Durrës, as it is suspected that in neighborhood no. 15, Durrës, stole the "Benz" type vehicle;
- RH, 24 years old and PM, 25 years old, after in a parking lot in neighborhood no. 1, Durrës, these citizens, introducing themselves as parking employees, are suspected of having stolen a citizen's vehicle and left;
- E. Gj., 22 years old, resident in neighborhood no. 13, Durrës, after allegedly stealing a "Volkswagen" type vehicle, the police announced.
