A 40-year-old man was arrested by the police in Laç, after stealing a parked vehicle.
A citizen from Laçi reported to the police that his "Lancia" vehicle, which he had parked under the building, was stolen.
After reporting to the police, it was possible to find the stolen vehicle at midnight in a secondary alley, where the author was trying to leave together with the vehicle in the direction of another city, in order to sell the vehicle.
The procedural materials were referred to the Prosecution at the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction of Lezhë for further actions.
"The stolen vehicle is found within 24 hours, the suspected perpetrator is identified and arrested. Immediately after the report received from the citizen LL, a resident of Laç, that his "Lancia" vehicle had been stolen, which he had parked in the parking lot below the building, the Kurbin Police services have intensified controls and monitoring, with the aim of locating and finding of the vehicle as well as the identification and arrest of the author.
As a result, following continuous checks and evaluation of all police information for this case, during the night, the police services of the Kurbin Police Station located the stolen vehicle in a secondary alley and the perpetrator was trying to leave together with the vehicle in the direction of a district other with the purpose of selling the vehicle.
The driver of the vehicle, at the moment he saw the police services, diverted the road in an attempt to leave with the vehicle, but he could not and in these conditions, taking advantage of the darkness of the night, he abandoned the vehicle and left with run.
Thanks to the genuine operative investigative work, it became possible to identify, capture and arrest the suspected perpetrator, a citizen of GN, 40 years old, resident in Laç, for the criminal offense of "Theft". The procedural materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction in Lezhë for further actions", the police informs.
