New details have emerged regarding the murder of an Albanian minor in Italy, where the perpetrator appears to be her ex-boyfriend.
The serious incident occurred on October 25, 2024 in Piacenza, where 13-year-old Aurora Tila lost her life after being pushed from a balcony. According to Italian media, the conversations that the minor had had with the artificial intelligence ChatGPT were also used in the judicial process, and were considered important evidence.
In these communications, the girl had sought advice about her relationship, expressing uncertainty about whether she should end it and how she could distinguish a healthy relationship from a toxic one.
The Juvenile Court in Bologna sentenced her ex-boyfriend, who was 15 years old at the time of the incident, to 17 years in prison. Investigations revealed that the relationship between them was characterized by pressure, control and threatening behavior on his part, making the minor feel insecure.
According to the court's decision, the young man displayed pronounced jealousy and possessive behavior, also using threatening expressions. Although premeditation was not fully proven, it turned out that the day before the incident he had confessed to a friend that he had plans to kill her.
The messages he sent to the victim about the last meeting were described as manipulative, as they convinced her to meet, likely with the intention of calming the situation. However, according to the court, the meeting was used as a moment to commit the crime.
Initially, the accused tried to present the incident as an accident or suicide, but the evidence and testimonies collected refuted this version, identifying him as the perpetrator of the murder. The court also noted his lack of remorse.
