The 34-year-old Albanian Miri Gurra has refused to tell the reasons why he took the life of his compatriot Ilir Dervish. Gurra was arrested on Sunday morning after hitting the 47-year-old Albanian several times with a screwdriver.
The author of the murder refused to speak to the police and the prosecutor. He made the same choice before the judge of the case. The Italian police are investigating the relationship between the author and the victim, who apparently met through mutual Albanian friends, Italian media write.
Both had criminal records for drug and property crimes. Meanwhile, the result of the autopsy is awaited, which will prove whether the 47-year-old died from the blows with a screwdriver or whether his death was accelerated by the accident in which both were involved.
What investigators know so far is that Gurra and Dervishi were traveling together in the direction of Bologna and had a violent argument, the reasons for which are still unclear. At the height of the argument, Miri Gurra, who was the driver, hit Dervish with a screwdriver. During the fight between them, the 37-year-old lost control of the car, colliding with another vehicle and going off the road. The Albanian escaped unhurt and was handcuffed by the authorities.
