Details of the serious event in Tirana, where two people lost their lives in the apartment after being suffocated by the gas leak, have become clear.
The victims have been identified as Altin Maksuti, who is the owner of the apartment, and Vladimir Bengu, his relative, respectively 47 and 56 years old.
It is learned that Altin Maksuti lived with his family in Greece, while for some time he had returned only to reconstruct the apartment in Tirana.
The family members reported to the police, as Maksuti and Bengu were not answering their cell phones. After going to the apartment and opening the door, the police officers found both of them dead with the gas heater on.
It is suspected that the two people were asleep and forgot to turn on the gas. It is not yet known whether they changed their lives yesterday or today. The serious incident took place in an apartment on "Marije Kraja" street around 17:20.
"On 19.12.2024, around 17:20, on the street "Marije Kraja", it is suspected that the owner of the apartment, citizen AM, about 47 years old, and a distant relative of him, citizen VB, about 56 years old, who died according to the confirmation of the medical staff" , the police announced.
