The government has declared an area in the village of Lin as immovable cultural property, classifying it as an "Urban Architectural Ensemble", in a decision approved at today's meeting of the Council of Ministers.
The decision also defines the protective zone of this ensemble, based on the maps and coordinates included in the Albanian Geodetic Reference Framework, and approves the plan for the preservation, protection and administration of this asset.
According to the document, the proclamation aims to protect the architectural and historical values of the area, by establishing clear rules for interventions and development in the territory.
In implementation of this decision, the State Authority for Geospatial Information will publish the relevant maps on the National Geoportal, while the State Cadastre Agency will carry out the registration according to the legislation in force.
Several institutions have been tasked with implementing the decision, including the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sports, the Ministry of Infrastructure and Energy, the Ministry of Environment and the Municipality of Pogradec.
The decision is expected to enter into force after publication in the Official Gazette, paving the way for a new phase in the protection and management of cultural heritage in this popular tourist area.
