Amid warnings of continued protests, the deputy mayor of Tirana City Council from the Democratic Party, Dorian Teliti, has spoken about the scenarios that the opposition is expected to follow in the coming days.
He stressed that the DP is determined in its objective of creating a technical government and moving towards early elections. He underlined that all democratic means will be used to achieve this goal.
" The DP has one objective, which is to remove the current government and pave the way for technical governance and early elections, and for this objective, all possible scenarios that have a democratic background will be used."
"During the development of the protests, the specific scenarios will be understood, we are clear and determined in our objective. We will use every democratic means to achieve that goal, one of which and the main one is sustainable, continuous protest ," he said on "Euronews Albania".
Asked if tents will be erected again on the Boulevard to prevent movement, similar to the 2017 scenario by the DP in the form of a protest, Teliti said: " This depends on the massiveness of the people on the Boulevard. The more massive and sustainable the protests are, the closer we are to achieving our objective. Lockdown is a democratic option. The first sacrifice must come from the leaders who lock themselves in ."
