The number of accused persons for the "Partizani" file has increased to five, where besides Sali Berisha and his son-in-law Jamarbër Malltezi, the builder Fatmir Bektashi, Andia Pustina and Xhimi Begeja are also accused.
It is known that the builder Fatmir Bektashi was informed in SPAK today of the accusations of active corruption of state officials and money laundering.
SPAK says that Bektashi is the person who bribed Jamarbër Malltezi, and then the latter Sali Berisha.
Even Berisha himself yesterday, as he left the doors of SPAK, admitted after the insistence of journalists that he was taken as a defendant by the Special Prosecutor's Office.
"Today I am a defendant... They told me my son-in-law bribed me!", said Berisha.
Citizen Andia Pustina will also be charged with money laundering, while Xhimi Begejas was also charged with money laundering.
The Partisan Affair
On September 11, 2024, SPAK officially charged Sali Berisha and his son-in-law Jamarbër Malltezi in connection with the privatization of the former "Partizani" complex.
With a file of 500 pages of evidence, two SPAK prosecutors accuse the former prime minister of 'passive corruption' committed in cooperation, while his son-in-law Jamarbër Malltezi is accused of 'passive corruption committed in cooperation and 'money laundering'". But Sali Berisha, still without reading the file, burst into accusations against SPAK, describing the 500 pages as 'fraud'.
The Special Prosecutor accuses Sali Berisha that during the time he was in charge of the government, he favored his son-in-law, one of the former owners of the land, on which 19 towers were later erected.
On October 22, 2023, SPAK officially announced that it was investigating Berisha for the charge of "Passive corruption of high state officials or local elected officials" and Malltezi for "Passive corruption of high state officials or local elected officials and "Cleaning the proceeds of a criminal offense or criminal activity" and that GJKKO had signed the security measures against them two days before, i.e. October 20.
Due to Berisha's refusal to implement the court's decision, SPAK asked the Assembly for permission to arrest him, and on December 30, 2023, GJKKO increased the security measure by putting him under "house arrest". While one month after Malltez's arrest (November 21, 2023) the appeal of the GJKKO softened the security measure for him, leaving Malltez under "house arrest"
How Berisha favored the son-in-law who won 5.4 million euros
Former Prime Minister Berisha is accused of having taken concrete actions in passing laws and by-laws to favor his son-in-law Jamarbër Malltezi, one of the owners of the land where the Partizani sports complex was located, on which he then built 19 towers.

3- In his capacity as the Prime Minister of the Republic of Albania, active actions were taken in placing at the disposal of Malltez, various structures of the state administration for the realization of the process of privatization of state property.
Malltezi is accused of having carried out the privatization of sports grounds and facilities, with the sole purpose of seizing them, changing their destination from sports to residential and using them for material benefits./Pamphlet
