June 2 marked 34 years since the creation of the Socialist Party, which was founded on June 12, 1991. Former Minister of Economy in the socialist government, Arben Malaj, said that internal democracy in the party is in decline today.
He further emphasized that every leader enters history, not by palaces and summits, but by the quality of the rule of law that he must build.
"My congratulations today are for the true socialists, for those who took it upon themselves to convert the Labor Party into a party that would support change. The modernization of the Socialist Party has deep roots in the soul of the socialists. I have parted ways with Rama, he is a man greedy for power and I for knowledge. I have no desire to remain with Rama. Internal democracy in the Socialist Party is in ruins. Every leader goes down in history, not by palaces and summits, but by the quality of the rule of law that he must build ," he said on the "Frontline" show.
