Rama like Erdogan

Turkey was among the first countries to use DPI packages to censor and eavesdrop on its population...

Prime Minister Edi Rama has started copying his Turkish "brother" in every move. Turkey has turned into an authoritarian state and it seems that Babloku is trying to do the same in our country, thinking that he is a second Erdogan.

In addition to the ambition to secure a qualified majority in the elections and to annihilate the opposition, Rama seems to have copied an ominous plan from Turkey, which risks not only returning us to anarchy, but directly infringes on citizens' freedoms. We are talking about the wiretapping scandal.

It is currently confirmed that 7 DPI (Deep Packet Inspection) devices have been introduced in our country, which have been installed at both mobile companies and other internet companies.

The government claims they were installed to block TikTok, but in fact the danger is greater. Just look up what DPI devices are online and you realize that in the wrong hands they can be used for anything.

Many may wonder who gave Rama the idea to acquire such equipment. But it seems he has an example, brother Erdogan.

Turkey is among the first countries to install DPI devices to monitor its citizens. In 2017, a group of Canadian researchers discovered this. Citizen Lab uncovered a large-scale computer espionage operation that spread to Turkey, Egypt and, indirectly, Syria. The operation, which began in 2017, was a nationwide network injection to deliver spyware.

According to the research, Deep Packet Inspection (DPI), a hardware developed by the Canadian-American company 'SandVine', was used for international surveillance in Turkey. The aim was to trick users into downloading programs bundled with spyware. After installing the programs, the government gained access to the cameras and microphones of mobile phones, eavesdropping on everyone.

DPI was also used to censor the population. This is because websites such as Human Rights Watch, Reporters Without Borders, Al Jazeera, Mada Masr, HuffPost Arabic, Wikipedia, the Netherlands Broadcasting Foundation (NOS), and the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) were blocked.

Meanwhile, the Turkish government also implemented DPI packages during last week's protests, following the arrest of Istanbul Mayor Imamoglu. Erdogan blocked the internet for his supporters, preventing them from organizing protests. He also restricted certain social media pages that called for protests.

In short, DPI devices are capable of doing anything. The government can see everything we do on our mobile phones or computers. They can restrict the internet, they can infect our mobile phones with viruses and gain access to everything. They can also use it as a “weapon” to hit critics. In short, Rama is following in the footsteps of Sultan Erdogan. /Pamphlet
