There is also an interesting episode in the memoirs of the late doctor Sabit Brokaj published by DITA newspaper.
Brokaj writes that Berisha and Alia did not meet in December 1990 as is usually said.
Writes dr. Broke:

During the period when he was the secretary of the party, he expelled communists for cene in the biography. Berisha's insistence on the removal of lecturer M. Kostaqi and her deportation for political reasons was known, an action that created a bad opinion of Saliu..."
