Berisha officially under accusation, Gjekmarkaj: Attempts are being made to extinguish the opposition, a politically staged process

The Deputy Speaker of the Assembly and the Democratic Party, Agron Gjekmarkaj, has spoken about the arrest of Berisha by SPAK for the "Partizani" file.

But how much will the acceptance of Berisha as a defendant affect the ranks of the opposition?

Agron Gjekmarkaj said that this is a very special moment in the country's history, since the Albanian opposition is being accused. 

"In my view, one person, the former Prime Minister or the former President, the leader of the opposition, is not being charged, but something more serious is happening: the Albanian opposition is being charged. It is intended to extinguish oppositionism in Albania", said Gjekmarkaj for "News 24".

He also stated that, from the beginning, there was a politically mounted process, which was accompanied by constitutional violations, and after 9 months of investigations, when Sali Berisha is under house arrest, we have no convincing evidence against Sali Berisha.
