Berisha officially accused of passive corruption, Agron Duka: Big penalty for

The Special Prosecutor's Office Against Corruption and Organized Crime communicated this Wednesday to the former Prime Minister Sali Berisha that it has filed a charge of passive corruption of high officials against him.

To talk about this event as well as others related to politics in the country, MP Agron Duka was invited to the Klan News studio, who said that the situation in which former Prime Minister Sali Berisha is in brings a great penalty for the opposition. due to the lack of communication with him.

Excerpt from the interview:

Agron Duka : I do not undertake to comment on court decisions. I have always spoken my mind. I do not believe that it is normal to punish people for collegial decisions and it is politically penalized with votes. Because this decision was made by a man despite the fact that it was derived. I don't know the details, I heard from the media that he is accused of passive corruption. I think that this should end once and for all, so being a leader of the opposition, a final decision should be made because it is a penalty for the opposition that its leader remains isolated. It is not the same as face-to-face contact such as over the phone or with an intermediary.

Among other things, during his speech, Duke said that the electoral code penalizes small parties, where he also mentioned the need to negotiate with the leader of the opposition for the formation of coalitions.

Agron Duka : The fact is that we are before the formation of coalitions and due to the electoral code we must definitely negotiate with Mr. Berisha who will come out with the opposition bloc because the electoral code penalizes small parties for coming out alone and not we have the opportunity to communicate because it is negotiation. This hurts the opposition a lot. I wish that it ends once and for all what will be done with the leader of the opposition because I don't know if this kind of accusation has a final form or not.

Also, during his speech, MP Agron Duka also spoke about the new justice, where he said that the latter is better than what it used to be.

Agron Duka : I think that the new justice system is better than what it used to be. There are many problems and delays in making decisions. In this context, the volume of their work is very large and I would say that it is much better than before where politics, not that today has no effect, but not as it was. I say with conviction that in a group of judges, no matter how hard Rama tries, he cannot influence them in making decisions. I say thanks that it has not ended completely, but it has taken some positive direction of the influence of politics on justice. So there is some separation, there is a really independent power.
