The American Secretary of State, Antony Blinken, has started his first visit to our country, while his plane landed on Albanian soil according to the schedule.
Waiting for Blinken, who is accompanied by former ambassador Yuri Kim, in Rinas is the Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Igli Hasani, the Albanian ambassador to the USA, Ervin Bushati, the American ambassador in Tirana, David Wisner.
During the visit, which is expected to last several hours, part of the tour that starts in Albania and ends in Berlin, the high American official will have a meeting with the country's president Bajram Begaj and the prime minister Edi Rama, with whom they are expected to hold another conference common press.
According to DASH, the visit will focus precisely on the future of Albania and the Western Balkans.
Meanwhile, the former US ambassador to our country, Yuri Kim, who now holds the position of Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Europe and Eurasia, described the visit as a celebration of Albania's partnership with the US.
