The Democratic Party has officially sent to the Constitutional Court the new regulation of the Assembly, approved in Parliament only with the votes of the socialist majority, as well as the decree for the virtual minister "Diella".

The new Rules of Procedure of the Assembly, through which the parliamentary committees were reorganized, becoming 11, were voted on in the session of September 16 with 79 votes in favor of the socialist deputies.

The opposition opposed the approved amendments in the session and considered them a constitutional coup because, according to them, the minimum deadline of 7 days was not respected, as foreseen in the accelerated procedure.

Meanwhile, the second request also concerns President Bajram Begaj's decree for virtual minister Diella.

The DP says that the Albanian Constitution stipulates that a minister must be a human being, an Albanian citizen, and over 18 years old. In the case of virtual minister Diella, these conditions are not met, according to the opposition.

But, the Presidency clarified a few days ago that Bajram Begaj decreed Edi Rama as Prime Minister and in Article 2 of the same decree for the head of government, it is clarified that Edi Rama also exercises responsibilities for the establishment and functioning of the virtual minister. So, there is no special decree for "Diella" itself.
