In the framework of International Mother Language Day, the President of the Republic, Bajram Begaj, conveyed a message to Albanians on the importance of preserving and preserving the heritage of the Albanian language.
Through a post on his official Facebook profile, the Head of State published a video message with the interpretation of the poem "Gjuha Xqype". The poem was interpreted by students of the 9-year school "Selim Alliu" in Peshkopi, which currently holds the title of winner of the national Albanian language competition.
"Proud of our native Albanian language. Let us love it, preserve it, pass it on from generation to generation and speak our native language beautifully," says the President of the Republic.
Through this message, President Begaj aims to raise the awareness of every Albanian for the preservation, cultivation and further enrichment of the Albanian language.
Fishta's verses, just as at the time they were written, continue to carry the same message about the beauty of Albanian, about the necessity of its transmission across generations and its preservation in different regions and faiths, as one of the fundamental elements of national identity.
