The leader of the "Albania Becomes" movement, Adriatik Lapaj, has reacted after the protest organized by the Democratic Party. He stated that a political battle requires continuous resistance and not temporary mobilization.
In a public statement, Lapaj ironically said that he had received invitations from Democratic Party supporters to join the protest, but questioned its purpose.
"Many Democrats were telling me 'Adriatic, join us', but I said: join them for what? If it's to stay in the square and force Edi Rama to resign, we're here, okay. But joining them and leaving again after two hours, we don't do this job," he declared.
Lapaj emphasized that, in his opinion, through a prolonged stay in the square, the issue receives wider attention and political pressure increases.
"Through resistance, we are not letting this wound close, we are also putting pressure on other opposition actors to come here and confront it," he added.
