At the 35th anniversary celebration of the Socialist Party in Shkodra, Prime Minister Edi Rama mocked the protesters who have been filling the squares for days, while using the legend of Rozafa to attack political opponents.
Commenting on the participation in the activity held at Rozafa Castle, Rama said that critics will claim that those present were gathered under duress by the administration.
"Flamingos will immediately be thrown down our throats and they will say patronage, the administration has gathered there with great difficulty," said the prime minister, using the term "flamingos", which has recently been linked to the protests that began against the project in Zvërnec and then took on large proportions.
In his speech, the head of government also brought to attention the legend of Rozafa Castle, using it as a metaphor for the civic mobilization against it.
According to him, even today there are forces that work to build and others that try to hinder the progress of the country. The Prime Minister also quoted Fishta and Konica, saying that "the biggest problem of the Albanian comes from the Albanian".
"When we were climbing those alleys of the castle to get here and they told me that there were many people, I said: are they saying what they want or what is the reality, because many people have resisted until the end of that climb, it turns out that not only are we strong, but stronger than anyone else."

They were brothers and that legend has in fact continuously reflected on Albanian life century after century, even in letters written by great minds from Fishta to Konica, who have found it impossible not to leave it in writing that the greatest problem of the Albanian comes from the Albanian. The good news for us is that the majority of Albanians are now very clear and determined to carry out this historical mission that fate has brought into our hands and our duty is to carry it out to the end", said Rama.
