The deputy of the Democratic Party, Saimir Korreshi, has commented on the work of the National Assembly called this Saturday by Lulzim Basha.
Korreshi said that Basha has not come to DP forums for 1 year and that he never said that he will return.
"For 1 year, Basha did not come to our forums. Basha never said that he will return. Lulzim Basha to go out on the ground and see how many supporters he has. Neither Basha nor Berisha is the chairman of the democratic party. The chairman will be elected with the votes of all democrats.
I would not want Lulzim Basha or Sali Berisha to run again. The Democrats should not choose Berisha and Basha, as they are apples of trouble.
The opposition is real and denounces all corrupt affairs. The main obstacles for the unification of the democrats are Berisha and Basha," Korreshi said, among other things.
After his return to the head of the Democratic Party, Lulzim Basha called the meeting of the National Assembly today.
In this meeting, statutory changes and the new National Council were approved, which strengthen the positions of the president.
Basha increased his powers in this Assembly. This is because in article 48, point 3, it is proposed that when the Democratic Party is in opposition, the chairman of the Parliamentary group should be the chairman of the Party himself. So Basha "made an exit" to Gazment Bardhi, who opposed him, and transferred the powers to himself.
"When PDSH is not the governing majority, the Party Chairman is also the Chairman of the Parliamentary Group. The Chairman of the Party, with his authorization, may appoint one of the Vice-Chairmen of the Party to lead the Parliamentary Group", the statute states.
Meanwhile, he also proposed the exclusion from membership of all those who ran with other entities, more specifically with Ilir Meta's Freedom Party, Sali Berisha's ally.
