The deputy of the Democratic Party, Sajmir Korreshi, is against the name of Sali Berisha as a proposal for prime minister of the country.
According to Korreshi, a new name is needed to head the government.
The Democratic MP says that a new name from among the Democrats would maximize the votes going in her direction.
Should Berisha be the opposition's candidate for prime minister in the upcoming elections?
Korreshi: Could it be? Knowing how it works in 33 years, the desires continue to exist. Would it be the optimal solution? I think we should have another election to maximize the opposition vote. This has been my opinion and I cannot change my opinion on the road. To maximize the vote, despite all the good things you can find in Berisha, I think it's about time people want something new. New alternative is needed to shake the gray part. In order to shake up the disaffected of the SP, you have to give a new option, a new innovative direction.
Do you think that elections will be held without Berisha?
Korreshi: Absolutely yes. For me, Basha and Berisha are no longer alternatives. Are they necessary, do they have supporters? Undoubtedly, but I believe that a new alternative is needed today. Many elections have been won in the municipality with the words "he is a good boy", despite the fact that they do not know what they would do. For Berisha and Basha, that old taste remains. Something new is needed. The new one is even easier to replace. Today the old policy is difficult even to replace, they have established links. Here in 33 years, it is not that anyone has left the political scene.
