Arkend Balla, the youngest Socialist Party MP in Durrës who received the most votes in the May 11 elections, with 21,000 votes, has been at the center of accusations of links to criminal gangs in recent days.
After the closing of Thursday's plenary session, Balla said that Berisha's accusations were answered by citizens on May 11. He said that the result of the vote is thanks to the daily work and campaigning in his electoral area in the coastal city.
"The citizens responded on May 11. I campaign every day in my area. There are no accusations, they are all slander. Thanks to the work of the citizens of Durrës, all this result was achieved ," Balla told "Euronews Albania".
