Tensions in the Mati area have flared up in the final hours before the May 11 elections. The Socialist Party has issued a direct denunciation of the Democratic Party, accusing it of appointing commissioners with criminal pasts and criminal precedents in CEAZ No. 16.
According to the SP, some of these individuals are subject to criminal prosecution and do not meet any legal criteria to be part of the election administration. It demands an immediate investigation by state bodies and their removal from their respective functions. Furthermore, criminal proceedings are also required for false declarations in the documents submitted for selection to the CEAZ.
Meanwhile, the State Police and the Prosecution have not yet publicly reacted to the allegations. The PS warns that if measures are not taken, the credibility of the process in the entire region is at risk.
