Gazment Bardhi, head of the DP Parliamentary Group, has reacted to a comment by Prime Minister Edi Rama regarding the protest held yesterday by the opposition.
And while Rama has described the DP as the only party in Europe that has violence on its agenda, Bardhi considers him an outdated Prime Minister.
" Nowhere in Europe does the Prime Minister defend corruption. Edi Rama is an expired Prime Minister and last night he reacted against the protesters like any corrupt regime that has lost control: with state violence, expired tear gas and pepper spray."
Everywhere in Europe, when a prime minister is caught up in scandals and responds to citizens with violence, he no longer governs. He leaves. He doesn't hide behind propaganda. He doesn't criminalize the opposition. He doesn't violate citizens.
Nowhere in Europe does the Prime Minister turn into an advocate for corruption, as Edi Rama is doing with Belinda Balluku. When the Deputy Prime Minister is implicated in corruption, she is investigated and taken to court.
Nowhere in Europe does a prime minister predetermine tenders.
Nowhere in Europe does a prime minister appoint a coordinator between the government and organized crime, as Edi Rama has done with Ergys Agas.
Nowhere in Europe is the Director General of Police appointed by the government's crime coordinator.
Nowhere in Europe does the prime minister attack justice to protect his own corruption, that of his family and his closest associates!
Yes, everywhere in the world, corrupt regimes and dictatorships react with violence to protesters. This is Edi Rama! Because only rotten regimes react with violence to protests.
Neither expired gas nor pepper water will protect him anymore.
"The time of the prime minister of corruption and drug cartels has expired ," says Bardhi.
