The opposition is expected to take to the streets today for the third time, in what they call "civil disobedience". At 17.00 a rally was called in front of the Parliament. Yesterday and today the next year's budget is being discussed and the opposition has decided to gather its supporters protesting the government's program for the next year.
Meanwhile, it is noted that the police have surrounded the Parliament building. PD requested permission from the police for the rally, but the law enforcement forces refused it with the argument that today the Albanian national team is playing against Ukraine and the police are committed to the smooth running of the match.
Despite the rejection, PD has decided to gather militants and therefore the police have taken increased security measures. The operatives have been equipped with gas masks, while water tanks have been placed in the premises of the Assembly.
A fire engine has arrived at the Assembly, as a measure for the gathering that is expected to take place.
It is not known how long this rally will last and what the scenario will be, but confrontations with the police are not excluded. It is expected that the militants will be joined by the MPs, who will leave the premises of the Assembly. Meanwhile, it is not known if there will be speeches or not.
