The deputy of the Democratic Party, Dhurata Çupi, has reacted regarding the expulsion of the opposition deputies. Çupi says that the exclusion of opposition MPs goes against the request of the international factor.
She writes that "exceptions push us even more on our right path."
The reaction of MP Dhurata Çupi:
The exclusion of DP deputies goes against the request of the international factor for constructive dialogue in the parliament and the fulfillment of the constitutional requirements of the opposition.
By excluding MPs who protest against the denial of constitutional rights, it does not serve the role of Parliament's supervision and even less, its normal functioning, as requested by the embassy of the USA, Great Britain, Germany and the EU Delegation.
What happened to the 47 expulsions of opposition MPs since October 5? Because they defended the constitution and did not submit to the government! What are we looking for? No favors! Nothing illegal! Only our constitutional rights to serve the public interest:
1. The establishment of investigative commissions for the control of the government by the opposition.
2. Giving up efforts to nominate the opposition from the majority.
The country and society cannot have any good, when the rights of the opposition are violated and even worse, when the opposition is silent. We have decided not to be silent, but to act. Exceptions only push us on our right path!
We remind you that the Ethics Secretariat has decided that 4 opposition MPs will be expelled from the Assembly for 10 days, after the tensions and chaos caused in Monday's plenary session, where flares were also lit, while the 2024 budget was approved.
Deputies are excluded; Flamur Noka, Bledion Nallbati, Gazment Bardhi and Flamur Hoxha.
