Two weeks after taking office, the Minister of Defense, Pirro Vëngu, with Order No. 1347, dated 14.8.2024, dismissed General Secretary Gelardina Prodani, the symbol of corruption and theft in the "Rilindja" government, from the ministry.
Minister Vëngu had no intention of dismissing Geraldina, who was the de facto minister of defense, but her dismissal was ordered by Prime Minister Edi Rama, who is his favorite and allowed her to sign bargains and was not affected by justice.
But the dismissal of secretary Gelardina Prodani was forced for Edi Rama, because she was investigated by SPAK, for the concession of sterilization of medical equipment, implicated when she was Secretary General in the Ministry of Health.
Because together with former minister Ogerta Manastirliu, on January 15, 2020, they changed the financial cost of the sterilization concession, fictitiously adding 45 million Euros to the value of the contract; while by reducing the number of surgical sets, they increased the profit by 25 million Euro, which in total is 70 million Euro theft from the state budget.
Geraldina Prodani's name has appeared in SPAK's investigations regarding the army's properties, during her tenure as Secretary General of the Ministry of Defense, but also in the 98 million Euro tenders of this ministry, which she designed, drafted, signed and directed.
The 100% theft tender is the one for allegedly taking two private planes from Germany, with a rent of 4 million Euros for extinguishing the fires in Vlora, which did not come to Albania for an hour, while the payment was given in advance by her order.
The name of Gerladina Prodani has appeared in the affairs of the concessions of 3 landfills, when she was the General Secretary of the Ministry of Finance and signed all the documents, but also in the concessions of the "1 Euro" contracts for the properties of the army and former enterprises state.
Even the Minister of the Interior, Ervin Hoxha and the Minister of Finance, Petrit Malaj, dismissed the secretaries Besmir Beja and Risena Xhaja and changed the staff of the cabinets, but the Secretary of the Ministry of the Interior, by order of Úngjëll Agaç, was transferred within the day to the General Secretary of the Ministry of Finance.
The only thing that remains to be done is for SPAK to proceed criminally and make Geraldina Prodani a defendant; who for 13 years of power of the SP, has been the General Secretary with the power of "de facto" minister of finance, health and defense where there have been numerous thefts and abuses.
But also to investigate the many assets that he has in Tirana, Durrës, Korçë, Shengjin, Lalz and especially on the southern coast, where there are plots, villas, apartments, pubs, hotels and restaurants, provided by the bazaars with assets and funds public during the tasks he had until 1 week ago./ Pamphlet
