Former President Bamir Topi spoke about the current political situation in the country.
He spoke in harsh tones and criticized the standards that are applied in today's politics. According to him, politicians today are not competing to be active and useful, but are simply appointed.
"There is a dramatic decline in the level of intellectual standards in political parties. We have said it repeatedly and we need to bring it back to attention as to why it is happening? They are no longer competitive politicians. They are appointed politicians," said the former president.
Bamir Topi emphasized that political parties today are no longer what they used to be, and even described them as private businesses.
"So there are no more political parties. That's what they are called, political parties, but they are no longer considered such. They are private businesses. This is hard to say, but the whole problem of this country is the problem of politics," the former president told "Ora News".
