Croatian President, Zoran Milanovic

The President of the Republic of Croatia, Zoran Milanovic, has made several statements and strong messages regarding the Kosovo-Serbia tensions.

In a joint media conference with President Bajram Begaj, Milanovic said that he may be the only non-Albanian who raised his voice in New York for Kosovo to be recognized.

Milanovic said that it is a fact that all of Europe knows Kosovo, but does not want to mention it, and for him, this is something harmful for the states.

"The fact is that I am among the only ones, or that is not Albanian, that I have done this in New York and this has to do with the call to accept Kosovo. This tells me as a fact which, the whole of Europe knows it but doesn't want to mention it, that's fine, it's not honest and that's bad for us in the long run.

As time goes on, these obstacles become more bloated and complicated. Serbia has stalled in negotiations at the beginning. It was started with a greater momentum, but apparently for them this was not a priority, they have other things and of course they supported the armed uprising in Kosovo and there was no proper response to it and I don't know that What else could Albania do from what it has done," he said.

He further said that Serbia has supported the September 24 terrorist attack in the north of the country, but despite this, it has not received the right response and the Croatian president described this reaction as a wrong decision-making.

The Croatian president also says that Serbia has stalled in negotiations and added that it has supported the armed uprising in Kosovo.

The fact is that they are among the only ones, this has to do with the call to accept Kosovo and this tells me that the whole of Europe knows it, but does not want to mention it, this is harmful for us. As time goes on, these obstacles become more bloated and complicated. Serbia is stuck in negotiations, it started with great momentum. They supported the armed uprising in Kosovo and there was no proper response to this. It should remain where it is and not cross the line of due respect and be a country ready to meet those conditions.'- said Milanovic.

In the conference with the Croatian president, Bajram Begaj condemned the September 24 attack in the north of Kosovo. Begaj said that things are no longer the same between Kosovo and Serbia and called for the dialogue negotiators between the two countries to have a new approach.

Begaj said that in the meeting between them they talked about the relations between the two countries, as well as he emphasized that he expressed his gratitude to Croatia for supporting Albania's journey towards the EU. Begaj said that they have emphasized the need to increase the cooperation between the two countries, especially regarding the economy.
