The deputy of the Democratic Party, Jorida Tabaku, reacted today, when the deadline for returning 6 million euros to freelancers, which were unfairly collected by the government through a tax that the Constitutional Court declared unconstitutional, ends.
After the decision that overturned that tax, Tabaku demanded not only the abolition of the tax, but also the return of the sums unjustly collected from the freelancers. Also, in September, she proposed a law aimed at returning unfairly received installments.
"After a fair fight against injustice, we managed to bring to its knees a government that yesterday took money unfairly and today returns it. The power of Albanian unity brings down an unjust government!"
This reversal is considered an important victory for freelancers and a step toward tax justice. Democrat Tabaku emphasizes that she will continue to protect the rights of citizens and work for the construction of a fair and transparent tax system, which guarantees equality for all Albanians ", writes Tabaku on social networks.
