But they won't be the only ones. Deputies should do the same. Before the start of the new parliamentary session, there was a group meeting in the Socialist Party and the leader of the group, Niko Peleshi, gave clear directives, just like Rama yesterday. Everyone is instructed to go down to the base and collect as many votes as possible. It is learned that, just like the ministers, Rama will also gather the deputies in the following days and the instruction will be clear, to jump into the field and gather votes.
The Speaker of the Assembly Elisa Spiropali emphasized the presence of her fellow MPs in the hall. She has stated that she will not allow the discussion of draft laws without the presence of the minister proposing the draft law. In the same line with him was the Minister for Relations with the Parliament Taulant Balla, who requested that all deputies be active in committees and plenary sessions.
So it seems clear that Rama is aiming for another mandate in these elections and why not capture 84 votes. Both the government and the SP are working towards this goal. Since we have a shattered opposition, the prime minister intends to see himself as Erdogan, where he can approve any law he wants and annihilate pluralism. On the other hand, all MPs will now be mobilized in order to secure a place on the list of candidates.
