Democratic Party MP, Luan Baçi, spoke about the national protest called by the opposition at 5:00 PM in front of the Prime Minister's Office.
Baçi said that this time too, there will be no shortage of sympathizers, members, leaders of the Democratic Party of Fier Branch, but also citizens to be part of the protest.
He emphasized that citizens have control over how they will express their anger in this protest called by the opposition, where the latter will be by their side. Baci also said that this protest will be powerful and magnificent.

Baçi: Fier, as always, at least during these years of opposition, when it came to protests, has truly been one of the most engaged and productive regions, and in particular the Fier branch and the Fier Municipality, where the Democratic Party Fier Branch has carried out its activities. This time too, there will be no shortage of sympathizers, members, leaders of the Democratic Party, but also citizens to be part of the protest. The departure has begun since the morning, even by many members of the Democratic Party, by those who are permanent participants in the protests and who know well the difficulty they have during the day on the streets, due to heavy traffic and the difficulties of finding parking in Tirana, to then arrive on time at the square where the protest is taking place.
So the departures have been massive, they have been permanent, even in these moments that I am, I am in a car with citizens, with members of the Democratic Party in the car, I stopped on the road that we had left together to give this interview and it will definitely be one of the most powerful protests that the Democratic Party has ever had. I would even say the most powerful.
The protests have always been powerful. We remember the protest of December 22. There were many analysts, many media outlets close to the government that expected a failure, expected no participation, but in fact they were surprised, they were left speechless as they say, even some media outlets that make drone footage before or an hour before the protest starts or a few hours after the protest ends to misinform, but this time they could not speak, they will have their mouths closed today on January 24, Saturday at 5:00 PM at Dëshmorët e Kombit Boulevard, when the protest will be powerful, it will be magnificent, it will be filled with citizens and democrats to show the great power of the Democratic Party, the entire opposition and the popular dissatisfaction. It should be a protest that shows anger, that shows annoyance. I've said it before, Arnold, let me say it, that I've never been in favor of protests with music, with rallies, why not even protests with speakers on podiums. This is my personal opinion.
What idea are you giving, Mr. Baçi? So a protest should be stronger, more determined, longer?
Baçi: Yes. Yes, absolutely. Powerful protest, sustained protest, protest with anger. Citizens are angry, democrats are angry and anger is not expressed, rage is not expressed with music, with podiums, nor with speeches, whoever those who give speeches are, because we listen to the speeches of everyone, both politicians, intellectuals and different citizens.
We hear them on the podiums or on television or in various conversations. I say this because this is also the opinion of the citizens, the opinion of the democrats, there must be resistance, there must be anger, there must be something, because there is anger, there is resentment, there is boredom.
And for me, my idea has always been, the day the citizens protest, the opposition protests, the power is in the hands of the citizens and they should decide how the protest will take place. You can ask the question what will be the protest today. I am not able to answer what will be the protest today and how the protest will take place, because I cannot predict absolutely anything about how the citizens as a whole and in general should express their anger.
So it's in their hands, it's in their opinion. Of course, the organizer is the Democratic Party, the opposition, of course we are on their side and at their forefront and we bear, in the best sense of the word, responsibility for the development of this protest, but the movement of citizens, the anger of citizens is expressed by each in their own way.
