The police have also published the plan of measures for the DP rally.
Today, the "Martyrs of the Nation" boulevard will return to the stage for the national protest of the Democratic Party, called by its leader, Sali Berisha.
The protest will take place at 5:00 p.m. According to the opposition, the purpose of the rally is to demand the creation of a caretaker government to prepare free and fair parliamentary elections. This comes after the last protest in December and the rallies that the opposition holds every Monday in front of the Prime Minister's Office.
Berisha called for active participation. He said that Saturday's protest is a great test for the opposition and its fight to overthrow Edi Rama.
"It is the day of courage, of revolt, of anger, of civic victory over the greatest evil that has gripped Albania, that has plagued this country from the dark days of the Hoxha dictatorship until today ," he said.
Further, Berisha called on Rama to stay in the office and wait for the citizens who will march towards the Prime Minister's Office.
"We will teach the government the lesson it deserves, that's how I will describe the protest, the citizens will teach the government a strong lesson. Let it stay in the office and try. That's what I tell it, stay there. You've armored the walls, you've sealed the doors, stay and go inside, stay if you're a man," declared Berisha.
Meanwhile, the police have also published the plan of measures for the DP rally.
The police have warned of tensions and appealed to citizens to distance themselves from acts that threaten public safety.
"Taking cue from some public statements, we call on citizens to distance themselves if they are faced with illegal actions that violate public order and safety," the Police statement said.
