Among the thousands of citizens who marched towards the Prime Minister's Office in protest, former Democratic MP Ervin Salianji also joined, supporting calls for the resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama.
As thousands of citizens marched for the fifth consecutive day from Skanderbeg Square to the Prime Minister's Office, Salianji published footage from the rally on social media and expressed his support for the protesters.
According to the former Democratic MP, the country is at a moment that requires a change in the governance model and the building of an alternative based on responsibility, transparency and trust in the future.
"Rama, resign! This is the call that is heard throughout Albania today. Arrogance, corruption, abuses and irresponsibility in governance have made the lives of citizens difficult and have undermined trust in the state. The end of this way of governance has come and the moment to open a new chapter for Albania," he stressed.
