Romeo Kara confesses: Both Sali Berisha and Tom Doshi approached Ilir

The well-known lawyer, Romeo Kara, has revealed shocking details about the events that have accompanied the past and the last period of former president Ilir Meta in Albanian politics. During an interview for the "SOT" newspaper, the lawyer Kara says that Ilir Meta has accepted from prison the evidence that shakes his positions, as he reveals that Dritan Prifti and Kastriot Isamailaj were enemies, since according to him, the former minister debunked the corrupt schemes. Also, he reveals how Sali Berisha and Tom Doshi approached the former president's opponents to hit him.

Meanwhile, the lawyer Kara emphasized that there is zero chance that former Prime Minister Sali Berisha will be removed from the "non-grata" by the Trump administration, thus cutting off the hopes of the head of the Democratic Party, while he pointed out that the United States of America prioritizes the war against corruption in Albania.

- Mr. Kara, there are rumors that the "non-grata" will be removed from former Prime Minister Sali Berisha by the Trump administration. How likely is this to happen?

Zero chance. Briefly and clearly: Trump was voted by the American people to reduce the costs of living that have increased in recent years, mainly from donations to Ukraine and disciplining illegal immigration, while regarding the Western Balkans, the Trump administration will continue support for membership in the EU and the stabilization of the region. So, we will not have any change in the course of the American policy that has appeared during the last 34 years regarding the region and especially its attitude regarding the justice reform.

Throughout the past Obama, Trump and Biden administrations, we have had the same attitude towards corruption and the old political establishment, so the claims about the "corrupt president" Sali Berisha are empty spoons offered to the desperate around him, hanging on by a thread and dreams of a summer night. I do not believe that former ambassador Kim acted with her head and contrary to the first Trump administration that appointed her. So, the Berisha case is and will continue to be "Case Closed" for America.

- There is a debate regarding the arrest of Ilir Meta, do you think the police broke the law?

Debate raised on wickedness and contrary to any ethical or legal argument. Anyone who knows the law on the State Police will immediately understand and approve what I will say now: The police, depending on the type of detention or arrest they carry out, it is enough to have the distinctive signs and make a loud announcement "Police" even without presenting an identification document. Let all the famous lawyers of Meta refute this legal argument that I am saying.

-Tedi Blushi, in a media conference, stated that during the arrest there may have been an attempt to physically eliminate the president of the Freedom Party. The General Secretary of PL, among other things, called on prison managers to be very careful. Have a comment?

This is a very idiotic statement by Ilir Meta, as we have clear footage which is incontrovertible regarding attempts only to make the arrest and nothing more. Eliminations do not happen in places like this, with so many people involved and in such forms. It is too late for Meta and his minions to become self-heroic, as Meta and his gang have stolen and looted as much public property as they could in an unprecedented manner. However, these statements have also had another purpose: to divert public attention from the essence of the reason for which the arrest was made, corruption, money laundering and many other related crimes.

- Former president Ilir Meta in a recent interview, in an attempt to exonerate himself from the accusations of the Special Prosecutor's Office for the "CEZ-DIA" affair, stated that the evidence used by SPAK is invalid. Meta also mentioned the late Dritan Prifti, for whom he said that Vojsava Ismailaj, Kastriot's wife, has been introduced since that time by the former minister to testify against him. Have a comment?

Yes, yes, Ilir Meta is very right, because according to his thief's honesty, the evidence against him is all invalid, the witnesses are undesirable to testify about him and only the immense wealth and theirs inside and outside Albania is honest and valid. Regarding Dritan Prifti, I assure you that he has been undesirable for the Ismailaj family for a long time, since according to them, he was the person who exposed them for the first time in his interview on 'Top Channel' at the end of 2010 and debunked the "low" profile kept by Ismailaj until that moment. For me, it was precisely Ismailaj and his debt collection contract that became a bone of contention for Meta and Priest and their final separation.

The priest had another company in consideration to deal with that process, the company TEO ALB, which he also expressed by email to Jozef Hejsek, the former chairman of the board of directors of CEZ-Shprendarje. Was there a rift and contradiction between Ismailaj and Meta after Ismailaj's arrest in May 2015, as Ismailaj could have pressured to help Meta get out of prison and return to him about 5 million seized dollars? I believe so, and it was precisely these contradictions that may have brought Meta's opponents closer to Ismailaj at that time, including Doshi and Berisha. However, Ilir Meta inadvertently makes a very important statement: Vojsava Ismailaj's interview is authentic and very aggravating for his positions and fully reconfirms my doubts expressed in my report. / Today
