The former prime minister said that the city of Kukes needs a strong turnaround, while adding that the message will be delivered from the country.
In a meeting with the business in Kukës, in the company of the candidate for mayor, Emri Vata, Berisha said that Safet Gjici did not deserve this city.

The country is in vital need of a turnaround. The turn from Kukësi is the most powerful message that the residents of this district send to all Albanians. Let Kukësi be the station where the great upheaval of this country stops, where the disintegration of Albania stops, the mass departure of Albanians. On this occasion, I want to invite all the businessmen of Kukes these days to give all their help for the victory of Emri Vata. I invite all the people of Lumjan, Kuksians wherever they are, in Tirana, Shkodër, everywhere, Durrës, abroad, to come and vote in Kukës to sign the change. Kukësi never deserved Safet Gjicin. Gjici was an ugly copy of Edi Rama. I don't know this other person, but Kukësi does not deserve the representative of Edi Rama and Safet Gjic. Therefore, I invite you to commit to a turnaround from Kukësi,, said Berisha.
