Prime Minister Edi Rama has gathered this Wednesday in the capital all the mayors of the country, to discuss the acceleration and monitoring of the legalization process.
Rama has asked the mayors to get involved in this process, which until now is in the hands of the Cadastre, which is mired in scandals and corruption.
On the eve of the elections, Rama is looking for the next mandate in style, as he left a message to the mayors that priority should be given to housing, then other categories.
"We are in this meeting instigated by several MPs of the SP, the first and most vocal being Erion Brace, and necessary also as a result of the fact that with the part of registrations in the Cadastre we have a positive progress, but with the legalizations it cannot be said the same thing, therefore it has been decided that municipalities should be involved in the process.
Including has a special importance and benefit according to us due to the fact that it will not only increase the forces to support and solve the problem of legalization for citizens but will also serve to monitor the work in the Cadastre in the legalization sector leaves a lot to be desired. And in this context, the municipalities will first set priorities and determine the pace of the work plan of the legalization office.
