The United States of America has given another strong blow to the Albanian government regarding the scandal with the TIMS system.
It was the Charge d'Affaires at the US Embassy, H. Martin McDowell, who a few days ago went to Taulant Balla's office and revealed the scandal that the TIMS system data was stolen. Then it turned out like that.
The data has been stolen and this has alarmed the Americans. The diplomat requested that the case be investigated, while another message arrived today.
The other person in charge, David Wisner, met with the EU ambassador in our country and in the conversation between them they talked about the scandal in question and how the data of Albanian citizens is being stolen.
Wisner and the EU diplomat have asked the authorities to protect this data. He also said that judicial reform and the installation of the rule of law continue to remain a priority for the USA.

The theft of the TIMS system was reported by a police chief, who sent an e-mail to the media. According to him, the data was obtained by the director of the Department of Information Technology, Ervin Muça, who was then suspended from work. It exported the entire TIMS database to an external hard drive.
Ervin Muça, in order to carry out this act, used employees of two private companies of IT Soft & Solution of Ermal Beqiri, and the company "Horizon", who had gone during the afternoon hours near the DTI laboratory, on "Mine Peza" street ” and had performed data export.
The scandal was kept secret until yesterday when the Police Supervision Agency accepted it and filed a lawsuit in the prosecutor's office.
But the Americans discovered this earlier and the message of H. Martin McDowell in the meeting with Balla was very strong.
