Since 1 month, the deputy of PD, Albana Vokshi, has been denouncing the scandal of the former Director of QSUT, Albana Fico, carried out through her order given to subordinates, to change the expiration dates of pediatric medicines.
The scandal is this: In the central pharmacy of QSUT, there were 1137 vials of medicine "Feiba-Factor VIII Inhibitor Bypassing Activity" worth 1.3 million Euros; which had expired and had to be disposed of.
Albana of PD has accompanied this accusation with the order of the former Director of QSUT, Albana Fico, issued with Memo No. 126/65, dated 29.12.2023, that this amount of expired medication should not be destroyed, but that the expiration date should be falsified and used.
According to the document, the order was given to Mirela Rexhepi, Director of the Central Pharmacy at QSUT; Eneida Ballës, Deputy Director of Pharmacy, IT Director Rigers Haxhiraj and specialist Anisa Serjani, who implemented it.
After the accusation of the DP deputy, Albana Vokshi, the Minister of Health, Albana Koçiu, reacted immediately, saying that the former Director Albana Fiço did not give an order to change the expiration date, because there are no vials of the drug "Feiba" in the QSUT Pharmacy. ".
But the denial of the minister Alban Koçiu, to protect the former director Albana Fico, was accepted by the current director of QSUT, Alma Cami, with this public statement: - "The remaining amount of 1137 vials from the first donation in 2023, is unusable".
So, there were and are expired vials in the QSUT pharmacy; which Albana of PD denounced as being used for hemophiliac children.
But Albana of the Ministry of Health, denied it to protect the former Director of QSUT, Albana Fico, while the latter is silent, although according to e-mail messages, it is proven that she has given orders to her subordinates to change the expiration dates.
