Democratic Party MP Lefter Gështenja has commented on the political situation in the country.
As the opposition action continues to block the works in the parliament, Gështenja said that there is only one way to face them and to be an alternative against the majority. He said that this way is for the opposition electorate to the government to unite.
Gështenja also said that the Democratic Party must definitely unite, since the democratic citizens did not "owe anyone" this division of two years in the DP.
"I would like to talk about the opposition and what we are facing, not about what we have had for a year and a half. We have had each other in front, the Democratic Party has had parts of it in front, I want to talk about the majority.
I have said for two years in a row that the democrats, the opposition, the citizens in general do not owe anyone what has happened these two years with the Democratic Party and the opposition in general.
I thought that leaders or former leaders of the Democratic Party would sacrifice for the sake of what the Democrats have given to the Democratic Party and to us who are in these positions.
However, this is now over. I have said and demand that uniting the grassroots democrats is the only way to strengthen the opposition. Not only of the democrats but also of all the people who are in opposition to this government, their union would be the only way, the only form to be an alternative in front of this majority. I don't see any other way", said MP Lefter Gështenja.
