The leader of the Mundësia party, Agron Shehaj, has been excluded from the plenary session in the Parliament.
The decision came after he did not vacate the podium at the end of the time allotted for his speech, interrupting the normal course of proceedings.
After the intervention of the session leaders, Shehaj got involved in a verbal clash with Socialist Party deputies. The situation was tense for several minutes before the expulsion measure was taken.
Shehaj brought to the Assembly a photo of a 19-year-old man raped by police during the protest of the residents of Rrjoll, who have been protesting for almost a month in defense of their properties, which have been given to the company "Genner 2" for the construction of a luxury resort.
Agron Shehaj: Today we were supposed to talk about people's problems, but there was four hours of talk in this parliament and not a single word was said about a very serious event that has taken over the media. Which has to do with an issue that has affected the majority of Albanian citizens and this has happened especially thanks to corrupt rulers and politicians. This here is a picture (shows the photo of the residents of Rrjoll clashing with the police), a picture that shows how a citizen is being raped while Taulant is being beaten. Taulant, have you seen this punch Taulant? This boy who is being beaten here with his fists is a 19-year-old who is defending his own property, where he was born, where he lived, where he grew up.
